In today's busy environment it can be next to impossible to find time to make it to the gym, and paying for a personal trainer to keep you dedicated to going to the gym can become far too expensive. For some people, working out in such an environment can be too uncomfortable. Others simply do no have time to do anything during the day and by the time they get home are too tired to go anywhere else once, and are very reluctant to reenter a car. With the prices you pay to join a gym, simply going on the weekend will make it worth while to have a membership.
Take it one step at a time Start by paying attention to what you eat. Cut back on fat and sweets and add more fruit and vegetables. After you have that under control, add exercise. If you hate to exercise try it for only 15 minutes a day at first, then a 1/2-hour. Keep in mind that while you are exercising you are burning calories and not eating. Also, it will be easier if you chose an activity that you enjoy. Basic exercise you need for you back can be easily performed with a couple of dumbbells at home, as a dumbbell row. The same bench we were talking about before can help performing this exercise better. Again, there are more advanced ways to perform similar exercises. The best one I know of is a pull-up bar fixed to the wall or on a door frame.
You need to change your metabolism and the only way of doing this is by exercising. Now it doesn't have to be any crazy amount and can be done at home. The best way of increasing your metabolism is by doing some gentle weight lifting. Before you stop and say NO WAY listen to me for a minute. You aren't going to train in such a way your arms grow twice the size overnight. You want to stoke up your fat burning furnace or better know as your metabolism.
Eating habits will have to be changed for you to see positive results. Cut down your calories by sticking to food that is nutritious and healthy. Chuck the junk food and fatty fried stuff. Prepare your own meals and cut down on sugary sweet or salty foods.
An interesting fact you might do not know that our brain controls our weight. After you eat there are two hormones released, one of them is to burn fat and the other is to store fat in the body. Another fact is that there are certain foods that increase release of such hormones more than others and vice versa.

Quit Smoking - 3 Ways to Kick the Habit
Everyone knows the dangers of smoking as the health risks are everywhere even on a cigarette packet. However, many people find it very difficult to give up even when they know the damage it can do to their bodies. For most people the health risk is not effective in getting them to give up. To give up smoking you need to take responsibility and make a commitment to kick the habit.
Here are a few suggestions to help you quit:
Support
Although quitting is up to you the journey ahead can be made a lot easier by having the support of family and friends along the way. Whoever you choose tell them what you are going to do and make it clear how important their support is to get you through this. There may be a point where a relapse is possible and at this point the support of family and friends can make all the difference by giving you the courage and belief you need to follow through.
Another way to prepare yourself is to speak to your doctor to get advice on nicotine substitutes to help you with the withdrawal systems. Also, check support groups in your local area as going through this with people in the same situation will be a great help.
Set Your Goal
Writing down your goals is a very effective method in helping you achieve them as it makes it clear in your mind what you need to aim for. Begin by choosing a date that you will decide to quit smoking and write it down and put it in a place where you will see it every day. The next thing to do is write down your reasons why. This could be better health, more energy, more money saved or even whiter teeth. Writing these down will reinforce your commitment to quit.
The process of quitting can be done in two ways. The more drastic option is to stop smoking completely and the other way is to cut down gradually. The first method will bring on the withdrawals symptoms much quicker and more intense so, you need to be sure you have the discipline to do it.
Distractions
Cutting down on the cigarettes gradually is probably the easier option. If you smoke ten a day then smoke one less cigarette each day. Prepare by giving yourself enough distractions to stem the urge to light up. Use healthy alternatives like fruits, mints or gum. If you feel the urge to put a cigarette in your mouth use one of those instead.
The most effective distraction is taking regular exercise. It also has the added benefit of keeping you fit and helps you get rid of the toxins in your body.
If you socialise with friends who smoke then avoid them until you have successfully quit. Make sure you explain why you are doing it so they understand. Change certain habits for example, a lot of smokers have the habit of lighting up after eating a meal. If you have this habit and you feel the trigger to light up get up immediately from the table and do an activity that will distract you such as washing the dishes.

4 Easy Ways to Remove a Headache
Have you experienced a splitting headache? It is perhaps one of the most annoying things you will ever experience. Some people will only get them for a couple of times a year, whereas others will get it for a few weeks.
Here are several quick and easy ways to treat a headache:
1. Take some aspirin. You should go visit your doctor and ask for some painkilling prescription drugs. These drugs can immediately reduce your headaches. However, be careful of taking too much because you might get side effects. Some side effects include: nausea, vomiting, stomach ulcers and long term liver problems.
2. Massage around your neck, shoulders and forehead. Your neck and shoulders contain a lot of sensitive spots that can tense up when you have a headache. Massaging these areas will help ease the pain and make your muscle relax. If you can't massage your own neck, visit a qualified massage therapist. In big cities, try to look for massage places that are well known by the public.
3. Walk around the block for a few minutes. By doing this, it would help to improve your overall blood circulation. In addition, it facilitates removing toxins from your body. Avoid going to crowded or loud areas as the sound may aggravate your headache.
4. Drink lots of water. You should drink at least more than 2-3 litres of water a day. If it is a hot day, increase your intake. Water helps remove toxins from your body and improve blood circulation.

Statistics show that 20% reduction of meal size will increase average life span by 10%. Also important is generous intake of fresh vegetables, fruits and cold water fish. If someone eats huge meals regularly like a pig, no one or nothing will be able to help him/her from health miseries. There is no miracle cure. Another important aspect for women's health is this.
The third item is regular exercise and movement of body.
The joints of body will glide better, the body will be more flexible, muscle groups will have more strength and also help mind to think clearly. At the same time, it will burn more Calories to help reduce body fat. Traditional yoga, its variations, Pilates, walking, tread mill, resistance exercise and weight lifting should all be considered depending upon the needs and abilities of each individual. This will improve women's health significantly.
The fourth item is dietary supplements. A number of supplements are very important in making our body to function at best possible state. The supplements will fill the gap of our daily nutritional needs, even though we seem healthy. These are more important in times of illness, or poor health when it may be difficult to eat balanced meals. This will help both men and women's health.
The last item is positive attitude toward our life.
This may be the most important thing in our life/living. If we keep positive vibrations in our thoughts, decisions and actions, we will have much better chance to overcome difficulties and achieve more success in whatever we do in our life. Our body is born into both success and failure, pain and pleasure which are part of dance of our human life. If we maintain positive attitude, it will certainly help keep our health. Health & Fitness-Ten Simple Habits to Improve Our Health
Having a healthy body should be a main goal for anybody. You could be healthier just by doing simple things every day. Here are ten simple things that you could do to make yourself more healthy than yesterday.
Wake up early, no matter how late you went to bed last night. Early in the morning is the changing pace in plant's metabolism. It means that plant produce more oxygen in the morning. Fresh air could reduce stress and fix your mood. Not only that, liver, heart, stomach, and colon work better in the morning. If you still want to sleep, do it after 9:00 am.
Protein for your breakfast. Eggs are recommended for breakfast. Protein need more time to be digested than carbohydrates and they help in burning fat in your body, giving you extra energy for the rest of the day.
Tea in the Morning. Tea contains caffeine and not as harmful as coffee. Although excessive caffeine could be dangerous, one cup of tea in the morning is good to boost our day because they have a good amount of antioxidants.
Do not ever take a bath after a meal. Bathing disrupt the temperature of our body and as a standard mechanism, blood will be spread to all parts of our body (the reason we feel freshened after a bath). Although this is usually good, we need the blood circulation concentrated in digesting system after a meal. That is why bathing after a meal will disrupt our food digestion.
Run or walk at least ten minutes per day. Feet workouts improve our blood circulation. Actually any sports will do, but walking and running is the simplest form of workouts and you could do that any time without much hassle.
Drink water at least 3.5 liters per day. We need water, excessive works or city climate makes us sweating a lot and we will need more water to replace it
Check your water needs by checking your urine. Healthy urine has no color and almost without foam. Foam in your urine shows its acidity. Yellow urine also shows that there is more bilirubin than water. Drink more water to neutralize acidity rate and improve your metabolism.
Hot plain tea, cure for nausea. Eating spicy foods and fatty foods sometime give an unpleasant sensation. Drink hot plain tea because tea contains tannin which could neutralize fat and cholesterol inside our body. Do not bother adding sugar into your tea because sugar will make you feel more uncomfortable.
Fix your mood and stress level with whole grain or spinach. Iron in spinach and whole grain bread will increase our blood quality. More hemoglobin means more oxygen. Oxygen will help our brain reach its full potential, reducing stress and bad mood.
Brush your teeth at night. Brushing your teeth just before going to bed is good for dental hygiene. Also, from certain research shows that toothpaste reduces appetite because its aroma pushes the urges to eat. Great tips for those with strict diet plan.
